Welcome to Class SE

We have 24 children in our class: 10 Year 5 pupils and 14 Year 6 pupils. This means that we are aged between 9 and 11. Our teacher is Miss England and we are very lucky to Mrs Malton assisting in our class.

For Maths, we change into different classes. Some of us stay with Miss England whilst the rest of us are taught by Mrs Butterly or Mrs Goodwin.

We take part in PE lessons on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. PE kits are needed on both of these days, but on a Wednesday (our Games lesson) we often go outdoors so a tracksuit/sweatshirt and outdoor trainers or football boots are also needed.

Every Monday we record our spelling list for the week. As well as practising these every morning in school, we also write them in a spelling book which we take home so we can learn them there too.

Most weeks we have a ‘Show and Tell’ session on a Wednesday afternoon (Year 5) and Friday afternoon (Year 6) where we share our latest news or any interesting items.

Each day if someone has done something impressive they could be voted as the class VIP (Very Impressive Person) and they get to write their name on the VIP chart in the classroom, so that everyone else can see how special they are.

Please see curriculum summaries for further details on all subject areas.
