Welcome to Class LA

We have 27 children in our class: 11 Year 3 pupils and 16 Year 4 pupils. This means that we are aged between 7 and 9. Our teacher is Miss Anderson and we are very lucky to also have Mrs Malt, Mrs Beardsley and Mrs English working in our classroom.

For Maths, we change into different classes. Some of us stay with Miss Anderson whilst the rest of us are taught by Mrs Tattersall or Miss Hooper.

Class Routines

We have P.E. on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. P.E. kits are therefore needed in school on these days including warm outdoor kit and trainers in case we want to have our lesson outside!

Every Monday we receive our spelling sheet.  As well as practising our weekly spellings every morning in school, we take our spelling sheet home to continue our learning daily.  This then needs to be returned to school the following day.  There is space on the back of the sheet for sentences to be written – one for each spelling word before our test on the following Monday.

If you have finished your reading book at home, don’t forget to put it in the changing basket first thing in the morning so it can be changed for you.

Most Wednesday afternoons we have Show and Tell where we share important news and special items with one another.

At the end of everyday we vote for a V.I.P. This is someone who we think has done something outstanding that day whether it is being a good friend, hard worker or impressive learner!

Please see curriculum summaries for further details on all subject areas.
